An electronics engineer from INSA, with an MBA from INSEAD, he began his career as a technical sales engineer at IBM in Paris for seven years. He then spent four years as diversification project manager at OMEGA in Switzerland. In 1980, he became CEO of the french SME Axon' Cable, which he transformed into an mid-sized company. He has been a member of the Académie des technologies since 2005 and Chairman of the CABC (Champagne-Ardenne Business Club). He is now Chairman of the AXON' CABLE Group, and his daughter, Christelle Olivié, is its Managing Director.
