In a global environment which, on the one hand, has led to the modification or even the disappearance of national economic and productive systems and, on the other hand, the appearance of new reactive and flexible strategies in the face of rising competition, old industrial cultures have been called into question and new strategic practices on a global scale have appeared. The result has been the creation of multinational teams. Ten years after its launch, the Renault-Nissan alliance, created from an exchange of stake-holding and industrial co-operation, appears to be a success and has inspired other groups which are also faced with multicultural management. Perhaps the secret of Renault's success was to let the Japanese manage à la japonaise, in other words, not to have carried out multicultural management after all…
