An economist and senior researcher at AgroParisTech and the International Centre for Research on Environment and Development (CIRED), he is also Deputy Scientific Director of Economics and Management at the CNRS. A specialist in climate change, he has worked in particular on the relationship between climate policies and development policies, the distribution of the costs of climate policies, and the link between forests and carbon. He has also contributed to numerous expert reports on the subject. He has been an author for the IPCC since 2004. Prior to his current position, Franck Lecocq was Director of CIRED, Deputy Director of the Forest Economics Laboratory and a researcher with the World Bank's Development Economics Research Group.
