Jean-Claude GALLOTTA

With Mathilde Altaraz, he founded the Groupe Émile-Dubois in 1979, which was the Centre chorégraphique national de Grenoble from 1984 to 2016. His first ballet, Ulysse (1981), with music by Henry Torgue, brought him recognition. His dance, which sometimes intersects with other arts (cinema, literature, music, etc.), can be seen as part of a singular artistic movement: playful abstraction.
