Sophie RIVOIRARD

A doctoral research engineer (Dr.I ng.Hab.) at the Néel Institute (CNRS), she has conducted research in materials science and magnetoscience. In particular, she has worked on the metallurgy of magnetic alloys (including magnets), as well as the associated development and characterisation processes, including using large instruments (synchrotron, neutrons) and as part of long stays in foreign laboratories (IFW Germany, SAS Slovakia, NIMS Japan). In 2020, she co-founded MagREEsource, of which she is CTO. This circular economy start-up, a spin-off from the Néel Institute, aims to manufacture rare earth magnets from end-of-life magnets.
