A history and geography teacher by training, he became general commissaire and then director of Sites of the Tour de France, positions he held for over thirty years. An enthusiast for organisation and human relations, he now strives to pass on his passion, which has enabled him to accompany the technical and logistical transformation of the Tour de France. His book, Le Tour de France côté verso, is a unique account of the other, little-known life of the world's greatest cycle race.
