What is business ethics all about ? Keeping to the law ? Company charters ? In practise, the answer is less simple. It would be useful to have a clear idea - a good theory - of what ethics actually are. Bernard Bougon defines ethics on three
levels : individual, membership group and universal ethics. It is difficult to link up these levels in a business context, which leads us to rule out any absolutist theory of ethics.
