Setting up a business to reinvent medicine

After starting out as a country doctor in France, Christian Leclerc discovered that almost half of his patients complained of functional problems such as fatigue, sleep or transit disorders, back pain and so on. With an inquisitive mind, he experimented complementary medicines with groups of doctors and obtained astonishing results. He then became interested in the microbiota, the thousands of billions of bacteria that regulate the body’s functioning. He discovered that, with the right micronutrients, many functional disorders could be treated. Enthused by this prospect, he set up PiLeJe to carry out three activities simultaneously: continuing his research, producing nutrients and training doctors and pharmacists in their use. The result is an astonishing adventure, in which PiLeJe, an international company employing over 700 people, becomes the driving force behind a reinvented medicine...
