Is CSR a unique opportunity to change everything in a company ? The STTM case

After a career in major industrial groups, Alain Zelverte bought STTM in 2018. This precision engineering French company (heat treatment, machining, mechanical welding and assembly) was suffering from a lack of investment and its premises were outdated, so Alain Zelverte decided to transform it. On a new site, he built a factory with no direct greenhouse gas emissions, a 600 square meter photovoltaic power plant, optimised waste management and reduced water consumption for processes. He also promotes local partnerships and eco-design. Another goal of this transformation is to improve the quality of life at work, in particular the thermal and acoustic comfort of operators. In this way, Alain Zelverte is building the company he has always dreamed of. Winner of the Trophée Industrie Grand Ouest in 2022 in the Green Industry category, STTM proves that it is possible to be both virtuous and competitive in industry.
