In their desire to reconcile business with meaning, entrepreneurs who want change hope to marry corporate economic efficiency with the social utility of associations. Their initiatives help to solve social problems. Some of them are carried out in existing companies where these initiatives develop the capacity for innovation. Since it began three years ago, Ticket for Change has worked with 49,000 people in 160 countries, and has helped to launch more than 300 projects, 88 of which have benefitted from personal coaching over a period of time, sometimes collaborating with companies such as Schneider Electric, Renault, Danone, Harmonie Mutuelle, Carrefour, Groupe Rocher and Google. Motivated by the enthusiasm and need expressed by young people for meaning, and also the desire for change expressed by those who have been disappointed by traditional professional experiences, these companies must still answer two important challenges: to ensure their economic sustainability, and to change scale.
