In 2013‚ twelve years after she founded her brand, the designer Anne Valérie Hash‚ a rising star in French fashion, announced that she was taking a break in order to handle the downturn of her business. At the same time, she took on the job of creative director of the ‘Comptoir des Cotonniers’ brand. This experience proved to be a welcome relief, allowing her to concentrate purely on the creative side. This decision was not a problem of conflict between the role of designer and that of businesswoman. Taking a break at a time of financial crisis was merely an additional episode in a story which illustrates a desire to create and a desire to manage a business. The young stylist decided to put her creative activity on hold in order to devote her energy to the management of a fashion house where in the beginning there was neither a business plan nor any model to follow, but simply a mixture of excitement‚ pure madness and dreams.
